How it works

All MobyDick dust containment systems work according to the principle of dust control by means of the smallest water droplets. A state-of-the-art high-pressure pump in combination with a powerful filtration system, special nozzles and an aerodynamically shaped high-performance cone (turbine) ensures the optimum droplet size and distribution. These can be directed to the dust source as required via the nozzle ring (wide area distribution), the nozzle head (targeted dust binding) or a combination of both. The fine water droplets combine with the flying dust particles, causing them to sink quickly to the ground. The result: a significant reduction in dust pollution for people and the environment.

High-performance cone:
Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Aerodynamics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), the high-performance cone (turbine) is made of durable fibreglass and impresses with its high corrosion resistance, noise reduction and easy repair capabilities. Thanks to its innovative shape (reflex aerodynamic profiles) and integrated stators, it achieves an outstanding level of efficiency. The air flow creates a powerful pushing effect that precisely transports the fine water droplets to the dust source, thereby ensuring effective dust binding.
